Booking Flights to and from Moloka'i

 Please plan to arrive at The Hui on Saturday, the 3rd of June, between 2-6 pm;

and depart by Sunday, the 11th of June, 2023, BEFORE noon.

Flights to and from Moloka'i

There are no direct commercial flights from the Mainland to Moloka’i. Major commercial airlines offer flights from the Mainland to Honolulu, Oahu (airport code HNL), or Kahului, Maui (airport code OGG). Typically, major carriers offer the best fares and more flights into and out of Honolulu (HNL).

Major carriers do not fly directly into Moloka’i as the airport is too small to handle commercial jets. However, some major carriers subcontract with an inter-island carrier and issue tickets from the Mainland to Moloka’i and back as one ticket. It is often preferable to separately book the Mainland to Honolulu (or Maui) and the Honolulu (or Maui) to Moloka’i legs. This is a bit more work but allows you to select inter-island flights that best coordinate with the Hui check-in and check-out parameters.

IMPORTANT: The Honolulu airport is large and busy. Inter-island flights are housed in a separate terminal some distance from the main terminal. The ‘Wiki’ shuttle buses that run between the main terminal and inter- island terminal run erratically. You can walk, but you will have to carry your bags. Allow at least 90 minutes to claim baggage and change terminals between flights. Maui (OGG) is a much smaller airport and no terminal change is required but there are fewer flight choices between Maui and Moloka’i.

 Molokai Airport Transportation (to the Hui)

We will arrange pick-up and drop-off at the airport for those of you who are arriving to and leaving from Moloka'i on the start and end dates of the retreat. If you are interested in this, please book the arrival time of your inter-island flight as close as possible to 1-5pm on the 3rd of June; and flights BEFORE NOON for the day of departure.

 Extended stays on Moloka'i

If you are interested in extending your stay before or after the retreat, unfortunately, The Hui cannot accommodate guests, and you will need to find separate arrangements. We cannot arrive before 2 pm on the start date or stay beyond noon on the day of departure. We prefer to stay on Holonlulu or Maui after the retreat to have a bit of time to integrate and enjoy the beaches.

The Hui Ho’Olana

Hui Ho’olana is a living sanctuary on the Hawaiian island of Molokai where inspiration, transformation, and goodwill come together to make a positive impact on individuals and the wider world we share.

As a non-profit, tax-exempt entity, we are dedicated in our support of educational transformational experiences. Our virtual community is connected by a deep aspiration for truth, learning, and growth. Spiritual and personal maturity and sincere practice are at the heart of everything we do – it is a dynamic process of waking up and growing up.

The Hui rests on sacred ground and is cared for by dedicated stewards of the sanctuary. It is a home, mindfully cared for and lovingly cultivated over the years by those who gather here. We created this transformational container together. It is our offering — a vibrant, living sanctuary in a troubled world.
