Welcome to Hakomi Austin

A resource for assisted self-study and relational mindfulness in the Austin area.

The Hakomi Method

Hakomi is a method of assisted self-study that was created and developed by the late Ron Kurtz. It helps to reveal the often unconscious patterns and beliefs that shape the ways we process information and as a result, the way we experience our lives. Hakomi helps us to understand:

  • Why we do what we do.

  • What unconscious patterns motivate our beliefs and actions.

  • Where there are barriers to nourishment that lead to unnecessary suffering.

  • How we can transform these patterns into life-giving, nourishing experiences.
